Things on Tuesday
Totally Terrible Tuesday Things:
- Bad dreams involving the ex-husband and this life with Chris and Jordan only being a dream.
- Remembering what it was like to be backed against the wall---'you know, I could kill you (snaps fingers in front of face) just like that'.
- Having to sit through the wedding video of my step-niece. I wasn't invited, why should I have to watch it?
- Even more---seeing that cute innocent little baby who is damned to a miserable red-neck backwoods life.
Totally Terrific Tuesday Things:
- My son. He's a great kid. I love him.
- My husband. He's the best. My hero. I love him.
- Steak and baked potato
- My parents. They mean well.
- All the flowers in my backyard.

Mmmm, steak and baked potato. My mom cooked that for me while I was home last week. It was awesome.
Of course, now I'm back to my real life and it's nowhere near as good.
Things always taste better if they are cooked by someone else. My Mom was telling me this morning how yummy my French toast is. To me, it is just 'eh'...but her French toast is yummy. It's all in if you are eating stuff prepared by you or by someone else.
This is one of the reasons that restaraunt salads always taste so yummy. You don't have to do any of the preparation....
We are definetly better! We are stronger and better than ever. We have life experiences that we can only hope no one else will ever have. But, when someone comes along and reveals that they have had (or are having) similar experiences we know what to say, how to say it and we know when to just shut up and offer a safe place for venting/crying or just being 'there'.
We know more than we ever wanted to. But, we are better and stronger than we ever thought we were or could be.
Have you read my post about the book I just finished reading? If you haven't you should check it out. Here on Vox it is titled 'Moving Book'. On FaceBook it is my last 'Note'.
